‼️News you can’t miss
Here’s one important scary/bad (🙀), good (😻), interesting (😼) and fossil (💩) news item.
🙀 What has happened to methane emissions since the political methane pledges last year?
😻 Remember, you love someone who’s still alive in 2100
😼 Is the world on track to get rid of fossil fuels?
💩 The fossil fuel industry and their “lawfare” techniques
This week’s highlights
[#oceanwarming] — A new study reveals that changing winds in the southern hemisphere is causing the ocean to warm at an “alarming” rate. This not only drive general ocean warming, but also creates so called ocean hotspots which are hurting biodiversity.
[#winterproof] — Here’s s list of 15 ways to winter-proof your home and cutting your energy bills (and carbon emissions) at the same time. Some of these things should be mandated by law that people do.
[#lungcancer] — A new study looked at cases of people getting very severe lung cancer despite the fact that they never smoked in their life and has linked those cases to air pollution. Good thing we’re still paying trillions of dollars to keep the industry alive who’s causing it.
[#schoolpropaganda] — The fossil fuel industry is apparently encountering pushback when trying to get some of the fossil fuel propaganda into the education material of schools in Australia. The fact that they’re doing this is so despicable that I don’t know what to say. The fact that this is not banned globally yet is probably even more so. Why do we allow this? And probably a better question: Who are the school leaders who can sleep at night knowing that they present this junk to school kids?
That’s it for this week folks!
