While that does seem to be true it kind of leaves the whole part about what to do about Russia’s carbon emissions in the dark..
[#energytransition] — BloombergNEF released a report on changes in source of power generation for the past 10 years. 2021 was a year with a big coal come back. Out of the total newly installed capacity in 2021 of roughly 1500TWh, 750 of these were coal. On the positive side renewables also had a good year.
[#germannuclear] — Germany is scrambling to find enough energy for the winter and one good thing about that is that they have decided to delay their otherwise planned exit from nuclear power. 2 nuclear power plants got their lives extended because of this.
