[#cyclones] — Here’s a bit of good climate change news for once. New research suggests that tropical cyclones are 13% less frequent with climate change. However, the authors also warn that lack of long term data makes the effect a bit hard to quantify precisely.

[#inflation] — Here’s a more detailed look at the cost of renewables. As I wrote about last time the cost of renewables has increased for the first time last year due to the inflation. Onshore wind got up 7% and fixed axis solar increased 14%. Mind you that still marks an 86% reduction in cost of solar and 46% cost in wind since 2010.

[#nuclear] — In a new report the IEA states that nuclear has a unique chance for a comeback here amidst rising fossil fuel prices and energy security challenges, but it also hits the head on the nail by saying that in order to that the nuclear industry must do everything it can to stop cost and schedule overruns.
